Setting Out of Office in Email.
Edumail
Log on to Edumail via a web browser here.

Once you have logged in click on the Settings Cog, on the right-hand side and then click ‘View all Outlook settings

You will then find two options
Forwarding

Automatic Replies

If you want to redirect your emails to another staff member while out of the office you can Enable this setting
Click Enable Forwarding
Enter the person's Email Address

If you want you can opt to retain a copy of the forwarding emails, by Clicking ‘Keep a copy of forwarded messages

To set your Out of Office message
Turn on 'Turn on automatic replies

If you want your automatic replies to start and stop for a specific period without manual intervention
Click ‘Send replies only during a time period’

You will then have further options if you choose to use them
Block my calendar for this period. *Disables Outlook Calendar'
'Automatically decline new invitations for events that occur during this period *Declines meeting invites
'Decline and cancel my meetings during this period *cancels and deletes all meetings during the period as well as declines any new ones.

Next, you can type your Out of Office Message in the two text boxes
The first is for Out of Office messages you want for emails within the Department of Education and Further Traning
The second is for messages outside of the Department of Education and Further Traning

Then click Save
Gmail
From Google Chrome Click on Gmail or go to https://mail.google.com/

Once you have logged in click on the Settings Cog, on the right hand side and then click ‘See All settings.’

Under General scroll down to ‘Out-of-Office AutoReply:’
Turn on Out of Office AutoReply on
fil in the date period
subject
Out-of-office message

You can then opt to keep the Out of Office for school emails only or everyone by clicking 'Only send a response to people in Narre Warren South P-12 College'

Click Save settings

If you also want to set email forwarding click on 'Forwarding and POP/IMAP

Click Forward a copy of incoming mail set it to another email address and choose if you want to keep the email in your gmail

Click 'Save Changes
